Welcome to Spark Emotional Wellbeing

Supporting individuals in the proactive management of their emotional health and wellbeing

About us

We are all increasingly becoming more aware of the importance of our emotional health and wellbeing and the significant impact this has on our ability to feel happy and fulfilled. The effects of poor mental health can be extensive and may be seen in our ability to work, manage relationships, feel able to cope and even in our physical health.

Mental health and wellbeing affects us all (statistics cited by MIND, 2020.)

What the data tells us...
  • 20% employees reported feeling unable to manage stress and pressure at work

  • Mental ill health is now the most common cause of work-limiting conditions among those aged 44 yrs and younger.

  • 63% experienced symptoms of burnout (feelings of exhaustion, mental distance from their job or feelings, or decline in performance).

  • Poor mental health accounts for over half of all work-related illnesses.

  • 9% of professionals are experiencing thoughts of suicide or self-harm

Research by Deloitte 2024  has revealed that the cost to UK employers of poor mental health is £51bn per year calculated as the combined costs of mental health-related absenteeism, presenteeism and labour turnover.

The impact of poor mental health has a significant effect on your business and can be measured across your people in terms of their poor levels of productivity, performance, engagement, morale, sickness absence and retention. Despite increased investment in workplace wellbeing and more people reporting that they feel supported by their employer than in 2021, too many still don't (44%).

Workplace Mental Health & Wellbeing Solutions

Effectiveness and Return on investment (ROI) of mental health and wellbeing support

Deloitte's analysis on ROI for a variety of interventions including EAPs, long-term mental health programmes, awareness and education, leadership training, digital occupational stress-management strategies, screening staff for more targeted approaches to providing individual therapy, showed on average, for every £1 spent on supporting their people’s mental health, employers get nearly £4.70 back on their investment in improved productivity.

This figure increases to £5 per £1 invested in training programmes that educate, raise awareness and upskill employees on mental health (particularly for leaders and managers).

With the highest ROI at £6.30 for every £1 achieved by utilising early interventions, such as organisation-wide culture change and education, than more in-depth support that may be needed at a later stage when a person is struggling

A proactive approach to wellbeing

Our services

When it comes to emotional health and wellbeing, our approach is to promote early intervention and proactivity, focusing on company wide initiatives that engender openness and accessibility to all. We know that early intervention in emotional health and wellbeing has a significant impact on clinical outcomes as well as ROI. Speaking to a specialist can help maintain healthy habits, learn new ways to encourage self care, enhance wellbeing and build resilience and where necessary seek more specialist support if required.

Through offering routine emotional health and wellbeing support to everyone, you encourage your people to proactively manage their mental health and wellbeing, not only seeking support when times are tough but as a way to stay emotionally fit, healthy and resilient. It not only prioritises their emotional health and wellbeing which can impact performance and attendance in the workplace but demonstrates a commitment that you care.

Client Feedback

Hear from our satisfied clients about their experiences with us.

The emotional wellbeing assessment was kind of refreshing to have the conversation without feeling judged. Would recommend!

Feedback from my team was that the session was excellent and unlike other wellbeing initiatives that had been offered at work before.
